Which forms want a 30 KB image
30 KB is a common signature ceiling. RRB NTPC, for example, caps the signature at a maximum of 30 KB (around 140×60 px), and plenty of other application forms use 30 KB as the limit for a signature or a small photo.
Because 30 KB is a maximum on these portals, landing at or just under it is exactly what you want. Image Resizer PC always targets 'at or below', so you never accidentally go over the cap.
- RRB NTPC: signature max 30 KB, around 140×60 px, JPG
- GATE: signature 4–30 KB — 30 KB is the top of the range, JPG
- Check your portal's exact cap if it isn't listed here
Getting a clean result at 30 KB
30 KB gives you a little more breathing room than 10 or 20 KB, so a tightly cropped signature stays crisp and even a small photo holds up well. Start from a clear, well-lit original and crop out empty space before you resize.
Pick the right pixel size for the box you're filling — a signature is usually wide and short (about 140×60 px), while a photo is taller. Setting sensible dimensions first means the quality search has less work to do and your 30 KB file looks its best.
- Crop tight, then set the target to 30 KB
- Signature is roughly 140×60 px; a small photo is taller
- Confirm the final weight in the preview before saving
Offline, so your document stays yours
The 'resize to 30 KB' sites online want your file on their servers and handle one image at a time. Image Resizer PC does it all locally on Windows — no upload, no account, no watermark — and if you have several files, you can batch a whole folder at once with no limit on the number of files.
